well, i live in texas,and they have the $100 limit..
i was wondering if it was on ONE item.. or your whole bill..

The first answer is simply wrong. The second one is correct. I live in Texas. The limit is $100 and applies to each item.

If an item is sold as an ensemble, say a skirt and coat, then it applies to the ensemble. If the skirt and coat are sold seperately, then the limit applies to each item individually.

There is no limit on the total amount. There is no differentiation on most clothing ... such as child's clothing versus adult clothing.

There is a long list of items that qualify. It is available onlline at the state's website and will be in all your local papers throughout this week.

It's per item. It's generally limited to clothing and backpacks only. Only backpacks intended for elementary school students are included. Oddly, adult diapers ARE included! Only in TX! (Must be a comment about TX politics...)
