If you were at a Table that has many glasses of water on it and your host told you that only one of those glasses was free from the poison contained in the others, would you think that your host was unloving by telling you that there is only one right glass to take and tell you which one it is or would he be more loving if he did not say anything and let you take any glass you took? No, God knows the truth about which way will lead you to happiness and which ways will lead to despair, so he lovingly wartns you to take the way that will bring you happiness so that you can attan it and be happy.

He does allow us to be whatever we want to be, he also allows us to chose to follow him or not follow him (free will) but as for "paths" we are LUCKY he even lets us have one path..we are sinners and he is Holy...we should feel relieved that he has sent one who could redeem us and bring us back into fellowship with him, but instead we are arrogant enough to ask why he made only one way.

Suppose a mother loves her children so much that she lets them do whatever they want (including run off and leave her)?
God wants what is best for us and He is what is best for us.
Heaven is not the reward, God Himself is the reward for seeking Him. If we demand that we run off and leave Him, then He will eventually agree. And if we don't want Him, we certainly wouldn't want to be in heaven because heaven is just a place for those who want Him.

Chicago is a great town. Have you ever been there?
Maybe everyone should visit on as many planes as possible, and those planes can fly and land, and stop anywhere the pilots want to.
Or each plane can fly the one correct coordinate that is given to them, and arrive safely.
God is so loving, that he's given us a free ticket to ride any denominational plane we choose on the one coordinate that will deliver us safely.
Godspeed you on your journey.

Why would only having one path mean he's not loving? I don't see how those two things are mutually exclusive

God did let everyone do whatever they want. It is called Freewill.
God accepts people into his home who follow his rules.
You are of course free to do as you wish, but, you can't live under God's roof unless you follow God's rules.
Sounds a lot like everyone else I know to me.

The Narrow and Wide Gates
13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Maybe because god doesn't exist and certain people are looney enough to make up scenarios about what he likes and doesn't like.
