I plan on getting a tattoo on my shoulder Personaly Im not worried about the pain but i want people to describe the feeling... Example: my buddy just says its feels like a bee sting

I think it feels like a burning / scratching sensation. Mostly burning though.
I personally think the healing process is worse!
I hate when it starts itching REALLY bad and you can't scratch it!

I have to agree with the above answer! To me, it feels like a deep scratching sensation, sometimes even in a good way. Normally after a while (about thirty minutes for me) any of those sensations basically disappear and all I can feel are the vibrations.
I personally do not think it feels like a bee sting.... bee stings are very sharp and while it may sound odd, getting tattooed has never felt like that to me. The sensation is duller if that makes any sense. The process of being tattooed is not something I've ever considered painful even and I hope that your experience is similar =) Good luck with your first tattoo.

I wouldn't call it pain.....
maybe irritation...
Most of mine have felt like
someone running their fingernails
over a really bad sunburn.
After about 20 minutes you
really don't feel much, it gets
kind'a numb. Then when the shading
is being done, it starts to sting again.
It depends a great deal, where the
tattoo is being done and what size it is.

I have two tattoos and neither hurt terribly bad. One is on my collar bone and the other on top of my foot. I have also had chemical burns from bleach and can tell you it is NOTHING like that haha. To me getting a tattoo feels like a cat scratch, its more annoying then painful. If you want it, get it. The pain will be worth it!

I just had 1 done about 5 months ago it's about 10x10 after he started the first out line there was vary little pain if any 1/2hour into it i was asleep til it was time to stop for a smoke i would do it again on the otherside the worst 1 for pain i've ever had was on my ribs it was bringing tears to my eyes

haha it hurts more when a bee stings... I have 2 tattoos one on each shoulder & they didn't hurt, in some places it tickles & on others it makes diff parts of your boddy twitch kinda off. I my self find it pretty funny & relaxing. Well except for healing part that itches really bad but you can't scratch only tap gently & put A&N on it.

it's like a continuous pricking.
take a pin and press it against your skin with out breaking your skin, it hurts about that much. it's more like a minor stinging that lasts for an hour or more
of course it hurts different amounts in different areas. if it's over a pressure point or any places where there are a lot of nerve endings it'll hurt more. clearly.

on my ankle, it felt like dragging a dry ink pen across the skin
on my shoulder, it fleft like a heat more than a pain, but it was deff more irritating than my ankle
on my thigh, it was itchy almost, like a bee sting but like the bee was dragging his butt lol

i got mine on my hip. i wouldn't say bee sting. i would say burning. mine didn't hurt at all when they were outlining it. only when they were filling it in. outlining it, it felt like like scratching. filling in, thats when it burned. but nothing terrible. good luck!
