In November I am going to Oceanside, Ca to see my boyfriend and attend the Military Ball with him. I am planning on taking my daughter, but she is unable to go that night. I am looking for a TRUSTING sitter for a few hours at our hotel room which is just upstairs from where the Ball is going to be at. I just need some trusting advice and information. PLEASE HELP!

You should try and call one of the wives of your boyfriends military buddies that have children. Maybe they can suggest someone that they are using for that night, or maybe they are not going and can help you out. If that does not work, see if you can find the cities "grandmother" or nanny organization. They have them all over the country and they will come to the hotel. I am sure it is fairly expensive but whatever you do, make sure that if you hire an agency, they have background checks on the nannies

I would seriously consider bringing along a trusted family member. I am sure that there are probably babysitting services somewhere in Oceanside but in this day and age it is hard to trust someone you don't know. Do you have a niece or nephew that is old enough (at least 16) and that you trust? I know it probably isn't the situation you had in mind but would you really trust your daughter with some stranger even for a few hours? I hope you find someone whom you can trust! Remember that you are not only looking for someone you can trust with your daughter you also want someone you can trust with your posessions that will be in your hotel room! Good Luck and God Bless!

Check with the hotel to see if there's a babysitting service that's offered.

If not, ask a family member to come with you to watch your child.

Enjoy the sights of North San Diego County :)

I would suggest taking a trusting family member with you. That way you don't have to worry all night what kinda person is taking care of your daughter. My brother in law and his wife take a family member with them on family vacations to watch their daughter so they can go out in the evenings together and it works well.

You will have to trust the baby sitting service if the hotel offers one. Maybe your boyfriend knows of someone in the area with a relative who can watch her.

Try calling a local neighbor or a family member that you would trust and that is good with children
