The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

The Flood (raised to proper noun status, no less).

The killing of the first born males.

The children being mauled by a she-bear.

The stoning of the man collecting firewood on the Sabbath.

Eternal damnation for unbelievers.

The list goes on.

If this is love, then how in the world does he show his dislike?

Yep.
God is literally true and perfect love.
The only problem is that mankind has distorted and twisted the idea of love to suit our needs, so that now, many people think of God as a cruel and punishing force. Not loving at all.
It's sad really.

Don't know. Never met him. But I do know Love is a Goddess or several. For which may at least half of us be properly grateful. Amen.

Which gods? There are thousands to choose from.

The one in the bible? The baby-murdering, kitten-drowning, slavery-condoning, genocide-commanding, torture-loving tyrant?

Obviously not.

A good thing he doesn't really exist, isn't it?
