You could have a pinched nerve, a pulled muscle or possible heart problems. I advise you to see your medical doctor and get a complete examination.

I'm not sure where your pain is located. Is it the entire arm, is there any numbness or tingling noted. Does this pain radiate into other parts of your body, such as your legs, back or shoulders. Have you notice any chest pain? These are sign of a heart attack and you should seek medical attention right away!!

Don't take it lightly. That is one of the symptoms I had before I was diagnosed with lung cancer. If the one of the blood vessels in the lung got pressed by the tumor, a person will feel numb, weakness and pain in the arm of the same side. But all these will disappeared in a week to two weeks.

Please check out my blog which documents my experience of diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer.

More information would be helpful. For example, your age, are you left handed, do you use a computer a lot? Do you lift and reach with your left arm? Is it in the region of your shoulder? Your elbow? Joint or muscle? Hard to answer otherwise.

i heard that when some people have heart attacks, they feel a dull pain in their left arm.
dont worry though, i highly doubt its that. i also had a pain in the same area but it went away. its probably just a pulled muscle or something.
