You would have to do more research after you had decided which language you would like to learn since there are a lot of different websites and resources for learning languages.

Here are some web sites that might help you to start:
http://www.word2word.com/coursead.html
http://www.mylanguageexchange.com/...
http://babel.uoregon.edu/yamada/guides.html
http://www.about.com/education/hubsearch.htm?SUName=education&terms=languages&x=25&y=12

But you can also get study books at your local library or book store. Check curriculum of your local college and see which language classes they offer.

I don't see why not. Learning a new language gives you more options in life and is certainly not a waste of time, even if you never end up using it. It's a good learning experience when you study a foreign language and can show you the complexities of your own language that you never considered before.

go live in the country that you wanna learn the language. i suggest Malaysia first. most of the people there speak Malay. it's the easiest language to learn. trust me. live there for 3 months straight without speaking english at all, you'll speak Malay like you've been speaking it your whole life. but you'll still have some english accent, though. english is your first language, right?
