When I was on the computer, my internet froze up so i had to shut it down from the side thing. now when i turn it on it says that windows is unable to start and it may be because of a hardware or software installation and to start it up the way that it last worked. so i clicked on it to start normally, but the same page kept on coming up. any ideas on what i can do to get my computer to even get to turn on to my desktop? please help me!!! school starts soon and i need my computer!

i also tried safe mode but that didnt work either

Press f8 at start up. Boot to last known good or safe mode with networking. Run your antivirus and your antispyware in safe mode. Uninstall malware/greyware like AOell, limewire, bearshare, weatherbug, my search assistant, smileys, incrediamail, etc

when the computer first turns on hit the f8 key and choose safe mode. once it starts and loads everything restart it using the start button and see if it loads like its supposed to. If this does not work you may have a virus which caused your PC to freeze and then which forces a re-boot and then wont let it start again. If you are not used to working on pc's and do not have the proper boot disk etc.. you will need to get a pro to help you hands on.

yea, start the computer in safe mode.

while in safe mode, follow
start, programs, accessories, system tools, system restore.
this could help you set your PC back to when it was good.
if it does not boot in safe mode,. you're in bigger trouble.
