If any Glock was the least bit inaccurate, why would all the Cop Shops and foreign military be buying up so many of them?! ! !Priced a new Glock, lately? !
As I already own H-K's and Glock's I know little about SIG's, Springfields, or the Itralian, except that, unlike Glocks, XD magazines CAN'T be extended. If you live in one of the Hoplophobe States like NY NJ or CA, you can't own or use mags with more than ten rnd. capacity, anyway.
Especially in the case of the unproven S&W, I'd reconsider my choice, doubly so with the recent news that the DOD is considering dumping the Itralian 'krunchenticker', the M-9, and H-K & Glock are front-runners as its' replacement!

Are Glock pistols less accurate than Beretta, Sig and H & K pistols? Glocks are as accurate as the shooter. Example: I saw a girl out shoot a distinguished expert shooting a Sig 226 at the police range. What was the girl shooting? Get this, a Ruger P-89. Is the Ruger more accurate than the Sig? No, the female shooter was just a better distingushed expert than the man.
Bottom line: All the handguns you listed are as accurate as the shooter. The Glock (like the P-89) is a good 'war horse' dependible as can be, accurate, user friendly, rugged and high capacity. The Glock's Polymer frame absorbs a lot of the recoil making it more pleasant to shoot. The Glock has the additional virtue of being available in more calibers than most modern automatic pistosl. The lineup in the USA starts with the old .9mm and ends with the magnum class .10mm; included are the forties, the .357 Sigs, the .45 acps and the new .45 GAP. Elsewhere the Glock is also available in .380 acp.

Most of those you listed are fine service pistols (though I think the Berreta .40 is the model 96, but I could be wrong). All are decently accurate, and glocks are very popular in service pistol matches. It really depends on the individual pistol, and ammo combo. My only complaint with the gloch is the grip angle is not natural for me. Out of the brand listed, Sig is ussually slight betterd ranked, but more often in the p239 and my favorite the p220 in ,45 acp. Actually the only accuracy issue you will likely see, is that the .40 itself is largely considered less accurate than the 9 or 45(not me saying so, just repeating the talking heads that work for the gun mags).
But it is still more than acceptably accurate. I would probably go with the Sig, or a Berreta Vektor, but I own two glocks now, and both are fine. (both are old ones. Got a g17 withnext to no finish left, but still shooting away, and a model 20 in 10mm, that I devoutly love, any minor quibles aside)

My Glock 22 and 35 models will out shoot my usp 40 any day of the week. I have never owned a berretta or sig, so I can not compare it to the glock.

Hi Jessica. Brand is a very personal choice. Glock is excellent only remember to store or carry in a holster that covers the trigger. Also, keep your finger outta the trigger guard until you are ready to shoot. Caliber is more important. You certainly don't want anything smaller than the .380 acp. The 9mm is actually better. Ammo is cheaper and easier to find world-wide. Depending on your level of expertise with handguns consider also the revolver in .38 Special & bigger. Remember that bullets shoot through a lot of drywall so be sure of your target and if anyone is sharing your living accomodations. Always use quality defensive ammo. In the nine you want 115 to 127 grain hollowpoint ammo, or Glazier-type pre-fragmented bullets. Plus P & +P+ ammo is not a must but great if you can handle the added bark & snap and your gun is rated for this ammo. Glocks & Ruger are rated for +P+; anything else check with the dealer. Best. H

I think that it is a matter of personal opinion. I own and shoot the full size Glock model 22 in .40 S&W caliber and it is plenty accurate for a "combat/ police" type handgun.None of these guns you mentioned have tack driving accuracy like a match grade handgun.

Accuracy? I suspect they are all about the same, just depends on the shooter. I find the grip of the Beretta a bit too thick for my short squat hand. I am not fond of the Glock trigger or its lack of a manual safety. So I would opt for the H&K. Had one in .45 ACP. Damn fine weapon.

personally i like the glock i have owned one for many years but accuracy lies in the hand of the shooter if you dont practice and get to know the firearm you will never hit anything and to answer your question none are really more accurate as a weapon alone then the others.it relies on you the shooter

no, just as good if not better. It all depends on the shooter. I have trouble shooting a Beretta, as my fingers are on the short side. The Glock fits my hand perfectly.

As accurate as the shooter. Although I shoot better with my XD over my Beretta. I personally do not like Glock or H&K for that matter.
