i'm in a very tricky situation that i don't know how to overcome,.A recruitment agency has offered me a temporary 2 week work period job starting tommorrow.I gladly accepted not knowing that i wasn't able to take this job cos of my studies. Now i want to ring her up to say i can't take it anymore cos i'm busy. But i feel really bad, cos she has been very nice and polite to me offering this kind of work.

What is an excuse i can use to tell her that i'm not able to accept this role at this stage.I really don't really want to do this, but i just can't do the job at this stage.Advice?

No excuse, just be honest like you told us here.
She will understand.

Just like everyone else said, you need to be honest! But just know that there are a plenty of people looking for jobs, and that company probably had 50 applicants today! Don't worry about them, they will cope. Plus, the most important thing is that you do what is right for you!! But I must say you seem like a very nice person to care so much about what this recruitment agency thinks. :)

As long as you're honest with her...she won't really mind. People change their mind all the time! Don't lie cuz she'll be able to tell if you're lying. Also, if the reason for not taking a job is because of your studies..it's a valid reason! Education comes before anything. And if you don't need to work..then just concentrate on your studies...you have the rest of your life to work.
Good Luck!

I think that if you are honest up front and tell them due to your school schedule you need to pass up the job... always thank her and be polite as possible... ask to keep you in mind for other positions during stated hours...

Don't make up an excuse. Just tell the truth... she should understand if she was nice and polite to begin with...

Be honest and tell her you accepted without thinking of your prior commitments. Don't worry, she is used to rejection and will move on to the next candidate.

Just call her and tell her the truth. She may have some choice words for you, but what else is there to do?

Be well.
