Though ambush response is part of military training in all branches that have road convoys, it is covered by operational security and I can not divulge what we are trained to do in case of an ambush.
The doctrine has changed since the Vietnam war. Check Bernard Fall's book "Street Without Joy" on how not to respond to an ambush.
