Give me details . I've got tough skin ; my two piercings ( eye brow +' monroe ) didn't hurt at all. But I don't know if I can take a tattoo. How painful is it ? what exactly does it feel like ? and how long does an tattoo take ?

Pain is really relative. Everyone has a different tolerance to pain. I'm not going to kid you, though - it does hurt. It’s just not that much. Some have compared it to a "hot scratching feeling". But, people would not be returning again and again for tattoo after tattoo if it hurts that bad! Most of us are not into pain, but the beauty of the tattoo and the pride associated with wearing it far outweighs a little pin-stick here and there.

I honestly think that people have different pain tolerance. What may hurt to you...won't hurt others but what may hurt to others don't hurt to you. I have three tattoos. One on my shoulder blade, one on my lower back and one in the middle of my back. All my tattoos are pretty big and I didn't feel any pain for any of them. Depending on how big or small it is & detailing will determine legnth of time. I think it feels like someone just taking a pen and drawing on you.

That's the problem- they do take a long time. I got a small ladybug on the top of my foot, and it hurt bad! It's like the needles sticking into you turns into a burning sensation and it's intense.

I've given birth twice- and the tattoo was worse.

How long it takes depends on how big it is, how many colors, etc. Mine is about the size of your palm and it only took like 30 minutes. Now for pain, it also depends on where you get it. If you get it on a bone (foot, spine, etc) it will hurt more. I got mine on my hip and it didn't hurt hardly at all. When they outlined it, it just felt like scratching. Now when they filled it in, it did burn some, but nothing too bad! Mostly, the worst is just some burning. I took my best friend and we just sat there and talked. And I am the BIGGEST baby when it comes to pain! So it isn't bad at all. Good luck!

I have five.

All were tolerable, the worst part was the healing, it feels and heals like a bad sunburn.

The more fat in an area the less painful it is. The one that hurt the most was the one on the small of my back, over my spine. I have one over my collerbone area, and I hardly felt that one at all.

it's like a minor pricking.
take a pin and press it against your skin with out breaking your skin, it hurts about that much. it's more like a minor stinging that lasts for an hour or more
of course it hurts different amounts in different areas. if it's over a pressure point or any places where there are a lot of nerve endings it'll hurt more. clearly.

depends on where and how long it takes.
mine were all about an hour. only the one on my shoulder hurt but was nothing unbearable.
also depends on your pain threshold

not sure how long they take, depends on the size, yes, they hurt, especially if you are thin.don't let anyone tell you otherwise,it's exactly as it says , a lot of needles, one needle for every dot they put on your skin, ouch, rather you than me.
