I don't currently shave with a razor, I use veet hair removal cream, and my friend tells me that you should only use it every two weeks because its bad if you use it too often, but the hair grows back before two weeks, so i was wondering if i should start using a razor.
My mother tells me that hair grows back faster and thicker after shaving with a razor, but i know that's not true because i looked it up. But there are people who have to shave every night, and they say that their stubble is really thick and short and hard, much different than what it was before they shaved.

So is it really bad? How often would you have to shave?

Thanks for everyone's answers, i really appreciate them :D

I hate shaving, because although they don't grow back fully overnight, the next morning your legs are not nearly as smooth. It'd be ridiculous to shave your legs everyday, but I'd like to have smooth legs for longer than a few hours.

Maybe try waxing? I've never heard anything bad about Veet.

I don't know how Veet works but i can tell you it is an old wife's tale about hair growing back faster and thicker. Think about it...genetically you are born with a certain amount of hair follicles and that can't change. It appears to grow faster because with shaving the hair is cut at skin level, which also makes it feel pokie. Waxing, and i am assuming Veet work by removing hair from root so grow back takes longer and is softer because it has not been bluntly cut by razor. Unfortunately all hair removal systems (except for quick fix shaving) require some hair grow out. Hope this helps.

it's true that hair grows back faster and thicker after shaving with a razer.
but i've always used a razer without problems at all.
just use shaving cream and change the blade every 2 weeks.
shave once a day when you shower normally. you won't have problems with stubble and your legs will be perfectly smooth! make sure to put lotion on your legs after you shower too.

you do have to shave more often but if you shave in longer intervals your hair grows back more slowly. Veet and other hair removals can cause skin irritations. you also could try waxing it grows back even slower but could be more $. I would try shaving because it is easier and its not that more thicker, you can always go back

I use nair I think hair grows back faster when you use a razor cuz a razor doesn't go down to the root like hair remover seems to.

Shaving is a pain, but when you have to, you have to.

I shave every other day or everyday when they're going to be touched or something lol.
