And I had to do everything for myself, despite how much I prayed for a break, or a chance, or for him to simply stop PICKING on me. Or am I just evil.

HOLY FLAMING HELL, I SPELLED THE TITLE OF THE QUESTION WRONG.
^^^ See, that's more important, therefore goes into capitals.

Your confused and asking amiss. If living for God meant everything in your live was going to be good you and everyone else on this earth would live for God. He is probably not anwsering you because you ask but dont do anything about it like read your bible, listen to christian music, Go to church!! these things are important and if you don't have a relationship with God why should he help you he already died now do your part tell him your sorry (mean it) ask him to be your saviour and come into your heart and start living for him and he will help you through the hard times honey you stopped believing because you became weak it's ok rejpent you'll be fine.

"You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely? But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
"God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble."
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

Dear ring of debris,
In the Bible there are many examples of people who have missed out on God's blessings because of a lack of patience. Moses had to wander in the desert for 40 years because he was impatient.
The most important thing in prayer is your heart. And if you feel like God is picking on you if He doesn't answer your prayer-- i think you have the wrong idea of God. He's not there just to make life easy for us- in fact the Bible teaches that we will have trials and tribulations in this life- and they are opportunities to bring us closer to God. God Himself does not tempt us-- often our trials are a result of our own poor choices or the result of other people's sins.
Anyhow it sounds like you've faced many hard trials and all i can tell you is that God does care and that God often helps us but not in the exact way we would think. We're all sinners- some have accepted that and trusted God for His forgiveness others have not.
Hope that helps. Kindly,
Nickster

For people who don't believe in God I imagine each one has a different reason for not believing.
Yours is about not getting your requests answered....I guess that's as good a reason as any.

it doesn't mean that he didn't help you. sometimes when we pray we recieve a different answer than we wanted or expected. God is our father and sometimes just like our parents, knowing what's best for us, he tells us to wait, no, yes. it doesn't mean that he didn't help you...sometimes you need to have faith and patience and wait until he helps you...in his time not yours...God Bless.

Here's what I do, and I suggest you try it.
Instead of asking him for something,
ask him if there is something you can do for him.
You might find that what he gives you to do will end up delivering to you things you didn't know you needed.

Why would you think God is picking on you?
Christ has come to bring life abundantly!
Maybe someone else is picking on you.

God can give you strength and faith to do things, otherwise you got to do them yourself. There is no free ride.
