Think of the benefits; we will be able to make sure pretend Christians like the Phelps’ and Benny Hinn’s etc won’t ever come along again and tarnish Christianity. And the gene that makes some Muslims radical can be isolated and removed so that they’ll all be mild mannered Muslims. I know you guys aren’t big on the whole concept of playing around with genes but this is surely a case of the end justifying the means?

I personal dont agree with what ur proposing. Im not a christian but thats just stupid. I like the idea of modified people for science. But to try and control their emotions is all whole different ball park. I just wanted to make us smarter and more athletic and ect. Besides what makes u think people would go along with what ur thinking.

I am not a Christian but I have seen many of the best and most promising medical and scientific theories and practices result in unintended disaster to ever look forward to genetic modification of humans. Humans are capable of many wondrous things but we need to remember that pride cometh before a fall.

It is a small step from creating perfect humans to creating perfect creatures that have lost their humanity. What makes us human? How much of that can we afford to loose? Who decides what is desirable or undesirable?

Sadly, most christians are against genetic tampering because it's, "against gods will," or something like that. Even with the potential benefits of genetic manipulations, I think they would still be against it. Personally, I don't think we should ever tamper with someone's personality, like what you suggested, because that seems to be more evil then what the other choice would be.

The way people are (i.e. pretend christians or radical muslims) is defined by what they are taught, how they are taught it, there way of understanding (which is defined by the way they grow up) but not genes

We modify our genes with every sip of a Coke, with every bite of a Twinkie. We modify our future children and their genes every time we inhale smoke or pollution.

And now they want to do it on purpose. lol

Do you remember the eugenics programs of the 1950s? Perhaps not...

I think you're giving humans too much credit. If we can genetically modify people, it'll mostly be people giving their kids blonde hair or cute noses and dumb stuff like that.

1.I dont have a problem with genetic engineering

2.You cant do that with faith;becuase it's completely dependent on where the person wants to put their faith and trust.
