I don't want a link. I have read about it. I know the claim. I want someone to prove it.

I agree with you on the bidah.

Actually the man who 'discovered' this so called miracle believes that there are two too many ayah's in the Qur'an. The math only works when you remove those two ayah he believes don't belong.

What back up do you require on 786?In the Quran, some short prayers or even long ones have a corresponding numerical order so that if one wants to carry it with you ,you need not take the whole prayer as each number represents a word.So is 786.There have been many instances in the past couple of years of this been found in either inside a vegetable or once on the fin of a fish and even crab.

Do you mean the islamic numerology concept of 786 meaning bismillah ar-rahman ar-rahim?? The Arabic letters of the opening phrase of the Qur'an sum to the numerical value 786 in the system of Abjad numerals.

More on this concept in link below. According to what I have learned about this, it is considered to be a biddah in islam since it was later added...I'd have to study it more to truly believe it all.

What is there to prove? Numerically it's possible of course- just do the math. And also you won't find a hadith on it since it happened after the prophet was gone.

This is interesting...especially what you added at the end. From what I have read of Hinduism (and I am NO expert)....there is only one God to them but they split him up (kind of like Christians) into his different 'attributes' or sides, personalities...whatever. So Krishna who is worshiped 'as an avatar' (saw that on a couple of sites before - interesting way to put it) of Vishnu is in essense Vishnu.
Vishnu is God (in their beliefs) therefore Vishnu and Allah would be one and the same ....kind of goes along the beliefs that all religions have been corrupted but stil have truth left in them. But I am going off topic....LOL ;)

I have a contact that might be interested in this, I'm going to ler her know. At least she could clear up the Vishnu/Krishna thing....

Do you know any other words that 786 would be?
