Well, as a former French Horn player, I'd have to say...oboe.

Oboe hands down. French horn just hates me; I can't hold a note on that for longer than 3 seconds without it jumping partials. Plus, who can't resist the sound of an oboe? Yay double reeds! (though bassoon is way better =] )

I would actually have to say that TRUMPET is the best instrument.

In this case, the French Horn is cooler than oboe because brass is awesome. (much better than woodwinds or percussion)

i say oboe because its light wieght and no effense (not being mean) but the french horns a little geeky. plus the oboe is easer to clean

until next time, stay shining!!

French horn. Think of it, who gets the heroic music in all the films? Who gets the spooky slides around as the ghouls appear? Who shows off their vaunted military prowess as the enemies scatter? who also gets to be t he bad guys from time to time ( also an interesting part to play)?
OK,, who's the duck in Peter and the Wolf? who gets the smarmy melancholy lines? or the favorite line of all bad music critics- the perky oboe?

Oh, definitely French horn.
for those of you who want even more depth to their sound, try listening to a quartet of Wagner tuben, like in a Bruckner symphony. Now, there's glory of sound for you!

Sorry, the french horn has the most beautiful tone in the orchestra...so warm. It's cool though that you can make your own reeds---very impressive.

Out of that list... Electric Guitar ;););)

Just remember what Homer said when he first took Lisa to the music store

Homer: "What kind of instrument do you want, honey? Tubamaba... OBOEMABO..."
Lisa (pointing): "That one..."
Homer: "Hmmm... Saxomophone"

DIDN'T see and French Horn in that list at ALL ;);););)
