My husbands financial aid is being audited and both of our W2s were destroyed when a leaking pipe flooded our apartment. Can the IRS provide copies? I need these in the next 4 weeks!

You can also get your IRS issued W-2s in 1-2 business days from AccuVerify.com

No need to call the IRS...his former employer is required to keep copies for several years after employment was terminated. Just call them, it might take them a couple of days if he hasn't worked there for a while, but they are required to keep them for seven years I believe.

I'd call the employer you got them from first - they might be able to provide them quicker. But yes, the IRS should also be able to provide them.
