Me and my boyfriend have two cats, Barney, age 7, and Blake, age 14.
Barney is forever playful, my bf says he has been this way since he was a kitten.
Blake, on the other hand, is getting REALLY old and is rarely playful. However, he has grown much more loving in his old age.

Well, considering I've got the 15 year old male who gallumps throught he house like his tail's on fire, body tackles the 12 year old female, jumps on the 14 year old females' tail regularly, and does all sorts of kooky things, I'd say age doesn't factor in when it comes to a cat stopping playing.

Your cat will keep on being playful as long as you play with him!
