Try to wrap it with a popsicle stick under the wing for support, a friend of mine raises them, and this was what she did, and yes it worked.

Well, most vets don't have much experience with chickens, so that probably wouldn't help anyways. You can always try and let it heal as is, but if your chicken seems to be in too much pain, I would just find some way to put it down. You can try to reset it, but that would cause the chicken even more pain because you don't have any experience with that.

I wish you the best of luck.

If I were you...I would try to make a splint for the chick...but once the wing is broken it will always stay broken....so I would maybe put him down with some drugs. I'm really sorry. I know how you feel....i have a chicken too....Good Luck:)

Either try and I know this will be hard to put it down as quick and painlessly as possible. Or try your best to keep it comfortable and try to heal it. Even your best efforts sometimes just can match up to the power above. Try your best if you can't face putting it down. Just remember though if you can't keep it out of pain to do the best for the animal and not be selfish and think just about how you will feel when it is gone. Sorry to hear, that is terrible news!

All I know, or, just let it heal as is.
I should say; With a chicken you may need to make your bandages longer than they say, as they doing a small bird. You can use a little Duct Tape to stick your bandage to itself when it wrapped if you not have the sticky stuff they mention.

Depending on your area, most vets don't have much avian experience anyway. They probably wouldn't be much help.

You could try this website:

Unless you really know what you are doing, you shouldn't try to mess with it too much. Unless it is stopping the bird from being able to eat, drink, or walk, or the bird is in pain, it will probably be alright.

We have a duck with a broken wing, and he's been carrying on with his life with no problems!

Quit making the bird suffer for your own selfish desires. Cook it and eat it.
