If she didn't swallow any of the toothpaste, she will most likely be ok. I'm so happy u tried to brush her teach though! Next time try using some cat toothpaste! That way you can be sure it's not toxic. You can find it at your personal vet's office or at a pet store.

People toothpaste is bad for pets because they swallow it (even people aren't supposed to swallow it, they'll get sick to their stomach).

You can brush a cat's teeth with just a soft toothbrush and water, you don't need toothpaste. Or, even easier, a small piece of muslin fabric (3" by 3" large) folded over your finger and then gently rubbed against the side molars on top and bottom works too.

It sounds like she's going to be ok, but until you can get cat toothpaste, don't add anything to the brush.

As a matter of fact, you don't have to use cat toothpaste either. I don't believe it actually adds or does anything like human toothpaste does, it's just to make it more palatable.

You can just use a wet brush and that would be fine.

large question. I had the comparable subject. I inherited my woman, and thank you to being a stray, her actual tooth (all however the canine) had to be pulled. And to actual it off, she refuses moist food and could in basic terms consume dry food. It replaced into so undesirable the vet stress fed her moist food for the reason that she refused it for see you later. once I have been given her homestead, she gobbled down the dry food like it replaced into her final meal and thoroughly skipped over the moist food. She choked the 1st time, yet then as though understanding she could no longer chunk it, she tailored and immediately is wholesome and chuffed. Cats are very resilient and that i might do what your cat prefers. needless to say you're doing an stunning interest; I wish greater human beings accessible might take care of their animals as you have. they're family contributors inspite of each and every thing incredible? right this is hoping you have many greater chuffed years with him. :)

O think it is admirable and definitly the right thing that you brushed your cat's teeth. Dental work on cats is expensive and can be risky as well as very painful. I just don't know about human toothpaste is cats. There is cat's toothpaste. You would have to check and compare the ingrediants

I always use baby training toothpaste for our dog since it reads safe to swallow. (And she does swallow it) but I assume your toothpaste is mint flavored and cats hate mint as a rule so I am pretty sure she didn't swallow much anyway. Won't hurt her but not a good idea since adult toothpaste is made with the intent adults won't swallow it, should use pet toothpaste in the future or Baby Training toothpaste either one is safe to swallow.

ur cat should be fine. its just like if a little kid swallows a little bit of toothpaste its not going to hurt them. toothpaste shouldn't be toxic. if it was we wouldn't use it. lol

Why would use human tooth paste when they make animal tooth paste? She should be ok but don't do it again.
