i've posted a question like this before, but never got an answer that worked. Whenever i go into the photoshop cs3 setup, it says i must close down internet explorer to continue, when i don't have it open. I've tried going into task manager and looking for iexplorer.exe, and wasn't there, i tried msconfig and making sure nothing opened on start up and i shut down the computer and turned it on and tried the setup again, didn't work, i tried disabling the internet connection in network connections, that didn't work either. Can someone please help me! Thanks

Try starting the computer in safe mode using msconfig. Disable all the tabs 'services' and 'startup' and bootup in safe mode.This might work...

You don't mention how you are trying to start the installation program.
Did you have the CS3 beta installed on your system? If so, then you want to run the Adobe CS3Clean Script. There are very specific instructions to follow if you had the beta.
