Fear is only in our minds. I would like to look past heaven or hell, I think first we must come to terms that the devil is not some ultimate evil but a mere imp that everyody uses as a scapegoat to avoid religious adn mundane problems, I'd like to think that the afterlife s still a place of humann growth and not persecution. I think Humans made the idea od a contemporary hell for "sinners" to scare there enemies adn what not.

You are a christian but you are not reading and understanding the bible or it seems that you lack faith on the teachings of the bible and lack of faith to God that you have doubted his teachings in the bible.

God is not scared of anybody else of his creations in bringing the sinners (whose sins were not forgiven) to hell because of the form of punishment he has imposed to them that any of his creations who will not comply with the Law of God and who lost faith in Him will be punish and be brought to hell after judgement.Howev er at present time there is no hell yet b ecause judgement has not yet been done.

God is God who can not lie so whether you like it or not to be punish in hell, He will do it because of your unforgivable sin which you have committed. The unforgivable sin which was written in the bible is the sin when you curse the Holy Spoirit of God and you are cursing God himself. Your curse to Jesus Christ as a man may be forgiven but as God, It is unforgivable.
Ha ve you not been punish by your parents for committing fault against them and against thier way of disciplining you? Or do you know about law that there is always punishment of violatiors of the said Law?So if there is violation of law, the perpetrators should be given penalty as punishment. OK?

It's not true. He never told Adam and Eve that they would be tormented for ever if they sinned. He just said they would die. Today we have the prospect of living forever on a paradise earth based on jesus' ransom sacrifice. God puts before us two choices, life and death. Even if we die before his promise is fulfilled, we have the assurance of a resurrection as long as we live our lives in harmony with his will and purposes. God wants us to worship him out of love not fear. The churches added the fiery hell torment thing to a long list of false doctrines once the church became corrupted, about three hundred years after the death of the apostles.

I don't think that most people who have a personal relationship with God/Jesus obey his will out of fear of going to hell. Instead, they choose to follow God out of love and respect for him for what he has already done..i.e. created them, created our world and our universe, offered his son for our sins etc. God did all these things...even before and while we were all still sinners. He gave to us...before he saw our sin. That is the meaning of unconditional love. He always gave us an out...simply believing. The choice to obey his plans regarding our life style is totally up to us. As I said, it is out of love and respect...not fear. We are already saved. The Bible says that we can not be saved by our works....neither can we go to hell because of our lack of works. Only disbelief can condemn us.

God doesn't want to scare us to make us believe. Hell was created first for Satan and the angels who followed him. God will not admit sin into heaven. It is God's desire that we all come to Heaven but he made us independent thinkers who can choose to rebel.

If there were no Hell, it would mean that there was no sin.

"God" doesn't scare anyone into believing in him. It's people that do that; well-intentioned but very misguided people. The church has been far more successful when it actually has people demonstrating what a life of love looks like than scaring people with fire-and-brimstone.

Peace to you.

God does not want to scare us into believing in him. He wants us to understnad the grace he has given us. In order for us to understnad what he has given us, it is also important to know what he has taken from us (ie the possible destination of hell)

God made the world in such a way that there is heaven and hell. When you know this, you choose.

I have moved away from this version of religion. The thought of a God watching us to see who makes mistakes...just doesn't seem logical!

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
