I am talking about soldiers along of the lines of master chief from the game halo. Cybernetically and genetically modified. Where do you think we are and when if ever do you think we will get to a true supersoldier. Which branch should get them, the navy and their physically superior SEALs or the army and their Special Forces, or their super elite navy's DEVGRU or armys Delta Force

That's still in the gaming world concept, even we could get to that level, there's a lot of moral issues to consider

But all moral issues aside, we'd be there in 20 years with a full lift on the bans on stem cell and cloning research.

They would go to the Marine Corp as a first strike capability

As for cybernetic implants; cochlear implants, automatic adrenaline shots, silicon retinas, Behavioral based AI, an exoskeleton that combines a human control system with robotic muscle" are all being developed and all these are within in our reach in the next 10-15 years, but again the morality of it all would hold it back.

Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) developed a neural implant to remotely control the movement of sharks.

This is an answer that you will probably dismiss and that is ok.
Supersoldiers is a program developed in the Blue Ridge mountains along with one of the sub-black box projects and these are not for aviational use. They are relatively long range projects based from WW II and German/ Russian affiliations prior to the War. This work and experimentation has already been completed.

This Wars Objective was never for anyone to win... want me to prove it - write me.

Strategic Note:
Let's be logical about this. They hide everything from classified technologies to harmonic directives in travel, synthetic time and movement... ect.

Why after spending billions of dollars would they give there Elite Soldiers to any group - Military or otherwise...

With A Name.

and risk them dying, in your place...
Not real cost effective and as an overall , military wise even in history... just not that smart.
Sorry, nothing persponal.

Hmmmm.... right this is what i've got have been given so some distance: Hobbes no longer Locke Socrates no longer Plato Ayn Rand no longer Karl Marx the only absolute fact is the opportunity of blunders. each and every little thing is power. replace is the two inevitable and logical. the least puzzling finished clarification is maximum in all probability real. the character of existence is to consume, reproduce and keep away from being eaten. All factors of existence advance by Random/Directed replace & organic/Directed determination. Perfection is an attitude no longer an characteristic. Love is pondering the self pastime of yet another as your individual. There are actually not any adverse thoughts. JFTR assuming you have attained "the real understanding" prevents you from freeing youself from fake understanding. might desire to circulate with Black Spider & Socrates in this one.

Like in the video games, at least decades away.

However they are making small steps already with stuff like night vision, etc.

Think about it, despite the difficulty in Iraq, the Kill ratio of insergents to U.S. soldiers is OVER 10 to 1. So obviously all the technology is helping.

A few decades. There's some pretty amazing technology that is being developped.

Nano-enhanced armor which magnifies strength and speed.
Self repairing armor.
Invisibility.

These are things that are currently "working" at some level in laboratories, it's only a matter of time before their military application is realized.

I think it would be super for us if we had super drones that were like, demolition masters. Robot radio controlled from satellites like a video game. Not too far off. Probably several prototypes operating right now.
I don't mean genetically engineered anything, nothing alive I mean, machines.

in reality...HONESTLY...never....everything will be unmaned vehicles, and weapons. no supersoldiers or anything like that...too much money and its based of games and sci fi novels. but say if it did happen, it would go to some special forces yoohoos and then probably to the marines...semper

i dont think we are that close yet but even if we were the only people that know that are not going to share it because it would be classified information.
