Can I lay my Argon tank on it's side and still be able to weld? Will the Argon tank still work on it's side?

Argon is a gas and will work with a regulator on any position ,,,however if you are mig or tig welding with a gas volume ball valve indicator the friction of the ball on the inside of the tube should be taken into consideration. On most vial type flow indicator the mechanism is built to rotate to any angle allowing the ball to move vertically......Good luck from the E

No problem.
I think you might be thinking of acetylene - this gas is unstable at pressures above 15 PSI and in order to stabilize the gas, it is dissolved in acetone - there is always the possibility of drawing some of this solvent off if the tank is operated on its side. Argon is simply compressed gas - it will draw off fine at any angle.

. You can't weld with argon. Do you mean acetylene?The answer is yes in any case.
