It is thought that we have evolved to be attracted to sugar. All foods have some form of sugars in them and generally the sweeter the better for you. Oranges are a good example. The adage "to much of a good thing" is appropriate here. White refined sugar is more like a drug than a food And ultra-refined high fructose corn syrups are worse. This isn't an attraction it's a addiction.

The reason people like coca cola soo much it because its caffeine some people would rather like that more then coffee to wake them up, others just LOVE the taste of it but mostly its been around for a long time!!

I don't like coca cola, I prefer pepsi. Last time I checked, I was human, or at least that's what I got other people to believe

It's the sugar, the caffeine and the flavouring that you are addicted to.
Personally, I don't like soda pop much.
It's so sweet, I crave and drink water, and then my thirst is satisfied!

easy, its all about the carbonation, the feeling of the bubbles oozing down your throat with a mild burning crisp sensation, it does wonders for thirst queching..............for a little while anyway
