i want to buy a 1ton flat bed truck an let other people drive it for me through venture or ace i need to know how do they pay you is it by mile and how much also do i have to recive the calls or can they go directly to my driver and how much should i pay my driver an do i handle the paying or does the company im leasing through pay them

You get paid by weight OR by mile and most people get a fuel surcharge that helps with the cost of operation. You have to have Insurance ,a Class A commercial driver , DOT numbers for the state and DOT numbers for the US (often call Motor Carrier numbers) these are often given by the company you lease to. There will be a broker who will get your loads for you... contact several so you have loads both directions.. Make a designated route for yourself say Mississippi to new Mexico find fuel stops that are available Get a GPS so the driver doesn't go in circles .
