Have you ever REALLY wanted something and put a lot of thought into it?

Have fun and dabble, just dont expect "Willow" from Buffy. Doesnt work that way Im affraid.....

"Magick" is an art, a craft that anyone can use.
"Witchcraft" is a religion that uses Magick.

Ah, uninformed people giving advice on magick. If someone did a laying on of hands and cured someone you'd be the first to claim it was a miracle. So why use a person to work a miracle through and not just engulf them in a holy light and cure them.

Magick is the manipulation of energy that surrounds us and a spell is a very ritualized prayer, where the person casting the spell is connecting to the divine by stimulating all their senses. Christians are too negative to be good Witches. They live in the future while condemning the present. They want to go to heaven while they treat the people and the planet in the here and now like dirt and they refuse to worry about the generations to come. If you can't keep this planet as clean as you keep your churches then you have lost touch with your God already!

There's not really any such thing as magic, supernatural creatures like vampires or werewolves, and spells or curses; it's all just wishful thinking. People like to think there are mysteries beyond the capability of humans to understand, but the fact is all these things are not just imaginary, they are actually impossible. They are a fun fantasy, interesting to think about, but nothing more than that. Lots of people have tried to do spells and such over the centuries, but it never works for real, only in Hollywood movies.
That is why Halloween was invented - to show that the monsters and witches and ghouls we imagine all around are really just the kids next door in a costume - it takes away the power of the monstrous over our minds and removes the fear of the supernatural.
You won't go to hell for having a hobby, just keep one foot on the ground and don't take all the nonsense out there seriously.

You mean can you sin a little and it be okay? Thats what you are really asking. You say you believe in Jesus yet you want to know if you can learn the things He died to free you from? Well the answer is NO read in the Bible,Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Notice that those that participate in Witchcraft shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Why not becase they are residents of the kingdom of Satan.

I believe in the religion Wicca, and I believe in the One true God who owns many names in many religions. Magic as shown on tv just like most other things, is dramatized to the point of being completely unreal. I am however, very psychic. But that too comes from God. It's a way of hearing God thru my soul, which is a part of God. As we all have souls, we are a psychic to a certain extent. This is really a complicated subject with many branches full of info. If you are interested in what little I am saying here, write me. I am happy to share what I have learned since I started studying this over 25 years ago. In fact, sharing what I've learned is much of the reason I live.
BTW, doing as God asks, can never be a sin. The only commandment that applies is to love God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your might, and to love others as you love yourself. With that, and Do what you will, but harm no one, the commandment cannot be broken. Meaning you cannot sin if these commandments are followed. We can't alway follow them, as we are human, and fall short. All we can do it work towards those goals.

in my opinion being really interested in magic as far as research is concerned is not a big deal. casting a spell however is.

the bible is against witch craft and worshiping any other false god's.

this is the way i see it, you can perform spells and believe in one God and try to worship one God but you cannot have complete faith in God if you have to turn to witch craft.

liking willow from buffy the vampire slayer is not a big deal, going to heaven is dependent on a lot more than what you see or like on TV
don't worry about getting to heaven, and don't do things just to get to heaven. do good deeds because you want to and be a good person because you aspire to be.

p.s. what you see on television isn't real witch craft

The smartest thing you wrote was "help". Yes, it would be a sin, and you know it would. First off, the only reason anyone would resort to using a "spell" would be because they couldn't achieve what they want in an honest or natural way.
Second, casting spells represents controlling a situation against someone's will...like kidnapping . Is that a sin?
And third, if you honestly believe in God and Jesus, and you want to go to Heaven, why on earth would you want to dabble in witchcraft? That's like telling a judge you want to keep your freedom, but you want to rob banks so you can get rich quick.

Well I think you are pretty safe, as there is absolutely no proof of magic. None, zero, zip!
There is no such thing as magic and you will only ever hear testimonies (maybe even from multiple people who were at the event) but you will NEVER see proof of it because it doesnt exist. The only thing that magic is, is science before we have an understanding.
People used to run away in fear when they were first shown a movie projection of a train coming down a track towards them. Electricity used to be used as part of a magic show because people didnt understand and they thought these amazing blue bolts were magic - things were alot more open to be called magic, but now unless you stray out into space there is not much that science cant explain and no evidence at all of magic.
So fear not - you may research all you want - you can chant anything you want you can scream "Bloody Mary" or "Candy Man" in the mirror 3 times. Its all folk lore and its all nonsense Anyone getting who disagrees, challenge them to provide ANY proof.

The magick you see on TV and movies is not real, it is fantasy. So no matter what you decide to do, don't expect to be able to do anything like what is portrayed! Spells are really nothing more than focused prayer. People who cast spells are NOT asking "God" or the Goddess to do something for them, they are asking for help in accomplishing something, and they physically do things to accomplish goals. We don't ask God to find us a job, we ask for help in finding the right one then we do some legwork! And I agree that any God who forbids research of any kind can't be a very loving understanding being can he?

I think that all matters dealing with the occult (hidden knowledge) would be considered a sin by your Church. But--I firmly believe that a person should be able to read and study anything they want to! Part of the Church's power over it's members is in censorship. If you are scared God will not forgive you for something you read and study, then He isn't a very understanding God after all, is He?---so study what you want, ask questions, learn all you can! Knowledge is not the enemy of God/Goddess! Be Blessed!
