The Catholic Church is a business, always has been and always will be. Dogma is what they sell.

I think it's a separate issue. Catholic church IS collecting (voluntarily - any amount of ) money during mass.

As for salvation, I don't know whether Catholic church said that out loud to the world, which for me is not that likely. However, i believe everyone was promised salvation when they were baptized and believed in Jesus in their heart. The promise is there, but can we really claim that promise if we are not doing His will? the 10 commandments, love one another as you love yourself...

Promised salvation is true, but our ability to claim that promise...depend on each one of us.

No, it's not. The church may be collecting money for charity, or for a church project, but the Catholic Church doesn't go around promising salvation. That's more of a Fundamentalist approach.

The Church doesn't promise salvation - such a thing is more typical of a Protestant 'once saved always saved' belief.

The Church collects money to pay for the parish, priest, and support the ministries it runs. My Parish also has a school attached for whom we raise money.

In the Bible it speaks about those false priests who are really Satan "masked". We all know how "money is the root of all evil". Here are two scriptures.

*** 2 Corinthians 11:12-15 ***

"12 Now what I am doing I will still do, that I may cut off the pretext from those who are wanting a pretext for being found equal to us in the office of which they boast. 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. 15 It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness. But their end shall be according to their works."

*** Matthew 7:15-16 ***

15 “Be on the watch for the false prophets that come to YOU in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruits YOU will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they?

I've never heard of a Catholic Church promising salvation.

They'd never say that because they don't believe that.

Collecting money.....that's a different story....LOL

If true, your local Catholic Church is heretical. Report them to the local bishop.

If untrue, please stop bearing false witness against your neighbor.

With love in Christ

Just like in Europe before Martin Luther was kicked out of the church. Then they sold tickets that, if purchased, would free you of sins for all your life...I think it's the same deal but they arent going to sell tickets for it...church likes money!
