why do i sometimes sneeze because of the light?

this confuses me haa..
some people say its people with blue eyes, i have bluey green eyes and is it just a myth..

My ex used to do that and it completely confused me. She would look at the sun if she needed to sneeze, found it quite endearing though. Don't know why

Some of the cells you use to see with in your eyes have grown on your nose so even when we shut our eyes we still get these cells activated by the light which irritates our nose and make us sneeze. This is not made up it is a medical fact.

Simple,Your eyes water from the bright light. At the inside corner of your eye is a duct that drains the excess tears into your nasal cavity. ( that also why your nose runs when you cry) The result is a sneeze, the tears irritate the nasal lining just as dust does.

i never heard about the eyes thing. i don't think that's it. i have two friends who sneeze whenever they look at the sun. and at least one of them has brown eyes. i'd love to know the reason too. even one of my dogs sneezes when she lays in the sun too long, and she gets up and moves into the shade! she also has brown eyes, by the way :-)

If I feel a sneeze coning on I look at the sun or a light if there is one about.

I do that too, look at the sun when I need to sneeze. Something about the sun does it........lol.........but sorry I have brown eyes.

i sneeze too because sometimes my nose burn me sometimes at night and day.And when i smell anything that really smell so bad i sneeze alot and i rubb my nose
