Also is there a difference between, normal sleep, coma, and just absolute rest (but not asleep)?

it depends on your weight - on average a persons body under 150lbs burns 50cal/hour just for basic functioning and thats 1200cal/hour.
I think people in coma need the least amount of calories and i have heard that they are given about 800cal/day.

Well first off, I sleep a LOT and have never slept 24 hours straight.... but calories burned depends on your weight, height, metabolism, I believe muscles and age also, so there's no real way you can pin-point a number that I can tell

um idk but I know the average amount of calories lost in an 8 hour sleeping period is 500.....
