I bought a HDTV Tuner and I don't know if the HDMI to DVI cord will provide me with sound

No. DVI does not carry audio. HDMI does carry audio but only at 2.0 stereo, no surround sound. The cord you have will not carry the sound. You will need an HDMI cord the splits into DVI with the split carrying an audio connector.

Here is a HDMI to DVI with TOSlink audio connector...

It would be cheaper if your tuner has a regular audio output like RCA....depends if you want to spend the money on it or not. Good Luck!

DVI carries the same pic quality as HDMI but it does NOT carry sound. You should use the SPIDF or coax digital audio for sound if your reciever has a decoder or just go plain RCA if not
