i adore it! i like jameson and a SPLASH of ginger ale- that way it's not all sweet and gross like a seven & seven can be (seagram's and 7-up)....nice and light flavored. it' skind of an old school drink, but for good reason. perfect for summer, as well. but i can't overemphasize the SPLASH of ginger ale part. you don't want equal parts or 1/3 whiskey to 2/3 ginger ale. yuck.

If the Famous Grouse whiskey you speak of is Scotch, neat with 1 ice cube. Mixing Scotch with Coke would be a travesty. If you are looking for something to mix with coke, Get your older friend to score you some cheap bourbon.

It's good, but you need a good whiskey. The gingerale doesn't matter, as it's all the same.

That was one of my first "mixed" drinks when I was under age. My date got it for me at the mixer we went to. I didn't think I'd like it, but I found out I really did. lol

Ginger ale??? Sounds like a drink for someone new to drinking, a beverage for official graduates of Smirnoff Ice and Hard Lemonade in mom & dad's basement.

Otherwise, depends on whether it's your first or your last drink for the evening.

Still, I agree that you should probably drink it straight up. Or if you have to, make an Irish coffee for X sake.

I've had it before and thought it was terrible. Wasn't that great of a whiskey though, some cheap bourbon.
