I have heel spurs in my feet and they cause me tremendous pain and my feet swell sometimes. I can't be on them very long w/o them hurting. I went to my foot doctor a while back. He prescribed anti-inflammatory pills and casted my feet for ortodics to put in my shoes to wear. It doesn't seem to make a difference.

you probably should see a different Podiatrist and get a second opinion. You could very well need surgery, but it's always best to get another opinion. It's obvious the treatment you have received has not helped and that you need a specialist to carefully evaluate your needs.

You should see a different podiatrist. They can sometime give you an injection into the heel area for the symptoms and I have had this one twice, last time about five years ago. You might also try a Dr. Scholls shoe insert in your shoe. They are much softer than the ones you had made. They usually fit better in tennis shoes. The insert keeps your foot in better alignment and takes some of the pressure off of your heel. I usually always wear these in my tennis shoes. There is another alternative you might consider if you do have the spurs. They can now do an arthroscopic procedure with two small incisions on one side of the foot and one on the other. It is a minimally invasive procedure . Your foot will be sore for a few days but I have heard is it not too bad. I know how bad it can hurt. I hope you feel better soon.

I myself had heel spurs. I found it really hard to walk for a long time too. I never saw a doctor and my heel spurs went away after a little bit of resting them. U may want to see someone else. your heel spurs could be worse then mine where. u may need surgery if it is really bad

What with all these new-fangled technological advances, you don't even need feet anymore.
