I'm depressed and am begining to feel like I can't work anymore... I missed two days this week because I just felt aweful. I wanted to leave earlier this evening but made myself stay and I feel the nagging feeling like I don't want to be here anymore :-( I hate feeling this way, I just want it to stop. I'm on prozac and zyprexa but they aren't working anymore. What should I do...?

if you are getting your prescriptions from a general doctor (like a family doctor), please consider seeing a psychiatrist. what dosage of prozac are you on? it may need to be adjusted or your medication needs to be changed. in any case, it sounds like your meds need to be adjusted so be sure to make an appointment. you'll feel better.

See your MD, sometimes meds have to be changed or dosage increased to get back to feeling either less depressed or hopefully no depression at all. Your body can build up a tolerance to meds if you've been on them a while which is the reason I gave you this answer. If you haven't had a physical in a long time time you might think about getting one, don't know how old you are but you could always have hormonal imbalance or some other type of problem that could be causing your depression. Good luck.

yes, make a deal with yourself. you will find a new job and be out of there in less than three months. know that the job you hate , will not last forever. then go make it happen.

you might think of seeing your doctor. maybe the dose can be changed/increased a little to help you feel better . once you get a new job and your life improves, you won't need the meds. the meds are designed as just a temporary bridge for most people , to get through the rough water.

Well, is the problem the job or the fact that your meds are no longer working?

If it's the former, try finding a new job.

If it's the latter, talk to your doctor and see about having your meds adjusted.
