after i had my braces off, a small gap reopened between my two front teeth. the orthodontist said small gaps are normal. and yes the retainer does make it go away!

You need to go back to your orthodontist. Hopefully, you are wearing your retainers like your supposed to. I had a gap between my two front teeth before I got braces so when I got them off they put on a permanent retainer to keep it from coming back.
Also, that may need to make an adjustment to your retainers.

Wow your orthodontist really screwed up. Go back and demand that it gets fixed...why did they take them off in the first place. Wasn't it visible? I would have them put them back on or put in an adjustable permanent retainer (goes in behind the teeth and is able to be tightened to close gaps).

Good luck

i would go back to the dentist and question them! The retainers are just to help from the teeth moving back

Sugar you are looking for perfection! If you "have" to point it out to other people before they notice it maybe you had unrealistic expectations........

Just go to your orthodontist and tell him/her that you have this concern and see what they say..
