Jimmie Johnson vs. Tony Stewart?

Who is greater? Give me your opinion.

As you can see I will always pick Jimmy over that orange fool any day. Jimmy is a better driver. Jimmy has a better crew. And a better sponsor.

Stewart is the better driver and has more talent but is to much of a loose cannon to have the consitency that Johnson has.

but as far as talent goes Stewart is the best.

War Tony Stewart! He's just so awesome to watch, and he can win on any track and at any level, oval, road course, Indy, etc. LOL @ "Tony has Coca-Cola as a sponsor, point to him." That was great!

Jimmie may have had a better car on some days, but don't ever say Chad Knaus is a better crew cheif than Greg Zipadelli. Chad has been suspended twice in the past two seasons, Zippy, not so much.

I'm gonna take Tony on this one. They're both top notch drivers, but Tony comes across as being a far more interesting person.
He does way funnier commercials, too - It's getting to the point where watching the various drivers trying to outdo each other with the funny TV commercials is almost as good as watching the race. The ones Tony did last year with Jamie McMurry for Nextel last year were hilarious.
Also, don't forget that Tony can be a pretty fair Indy car driver, too. Remember, a few years ago, he did the Indy 500 and the Coca Cola 600 on the same day (and finished in the top 10 in both)?? Not too many drivers that can do that.

Both of them are guilty of causing more than their fair share of wrecks, and almost never accepting responsibility for them, but Jimmie is more cordial to the media. Tony turns into a temporary dick.

Tony Stewart is a better driver, but he needs to be better at controlling his emotions on the track. I don't care if he drives like a madman, but, for example, taking out Hamlin on the 15th lap at Daytona in July was just plain stupid. He's better than that, but not if he can't control his emotions better. Those two cars easily would have finished in the top 3, probably the top 2, but instead, Tony finished 38th, and Denny finished 43rd. Taking out the other guys is one thing, but taking out yourself and your teammate at the same time? Not good.

Jimmie Johnson tends to have a better car and crew. I'm not criticizing Tony's car and team, they are good, too. But no one turns problems around more often than Johnson. For a while there, he had what normally would have been a race-ending incident, or one that at least took him out of contention for a good finish, at practically every race, yet somehow, by the time the checkers fell, he'd be in the top 3, or better.

The worst driver could win with the best car, but the best driver won't win with the worst car. Driver skill is more important.
