To get rid of arm hair temporarily, waxing or using a depilatory are the best options. Shaving will lead to stubble which is worse.

There are laser treatments to get rid of hair permanently but they are costly.

The cheapest method and best looking would be a depilatory cream like Nair or Veet. You would need to redo it every few days to a week but it's better than shaving in which there could be stubble the next day. Wax is also an option but that would require someone to do it for you and it's painful.

If you don't mind spending some money, electrolysis is the most permanent option. It can be painful and takes several treatments. Laser removal is not as permanent but a good option as well.

Shaving is fast and easy of you shower often (some people don't!). Many wax but that takes more time is can be messy/annoying/painful/expensive. I have an epilator which is like a bunch of tiny tweezers that pluck the hair out real fast, you plug it in like an electric shaver. I got mine from Braun and I've been using theirs for years. The first time it might hurt a little but you can go at your own pace..maybe do it while watching tv so you're distracted. Some areas are more sensitive than others so they will hurt more. If you do it regularly it wont hurt so much, its only the first time or if you haven't done it in a long time. The hair grows back after 2-4 weeks, maybe even more depending on how fast it grows for you. Its good to do it at the first signs of growth and keep up with it so you don't have to spend a lot of time going "ouch!" on one particular day.

The one I have is Braun silk-epil. You can find it at bed bath and beyond or online. That's my suggestion, hope you find what works for you! :D

**hair removing creams may also work for you but they don't for me because my skin is sensitive and it makes it itch like crazy! Plus they stink!

miss C; I think waxing is best, it removes hair at the root, then the follicle has to form, a new hair, before it grows in. . Shaving starts to grow in very fast,in mater of days it starts to show new growth, because it being cut on the surface, not the root. debilitating creams also work on the surface, and the hairs, grow back same amount of time same as shaving. but of course, shaving costs nothing.

Buy a product called Nair at the drug store. It is made for legs but works on arms too...be sure to moisturize after wards.

Shaving in the shower, of course!

Waxing would be too painful, or at least for me.

If you don't like shaving in the shower, then you can purchase an electric razor, which is quicker than shower-shaving. Here's a site:
