WE WERE ASKED BY A BAR OWNER TO DO SECURITY OFF DUTY FOR HIM AND HE PAY US FOR THE JOB, BUT THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE CITY SAYS HE (THE OWNER) HAS TO PAY THE CITY AND THEY TAKE TAXES OUT AND THEN PAY US DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHAT THE BLUE LAW STATES FOR THIS

All "off-duty" work I did was a CASH BUSINESS between myself and the owner of the establishment...I worked as an independent contractor with the prior permission of my department supervisors...it would have been considered "official" business if the owner would have paid the department.
