let's say, I have a confidential file, and I don't want to be used by anybody else, so I need a program to set a password before opening it... Please help.

not just .doc files but .exe and .mp3 files... I mean ALL Files...

Do Save As, then click Tools, then General Options. That will let you assign a password to the file.

No charge - just for you.

May I add, that when you
File
Save As
click Tools
General
and issue a password, that you save to the same filename.

Be sure to keep a record of your passwords someplace. Lose them, you cannot access the file.
