I have been trying to get as many responses as I can but dont seem to be getting much help. Thanks to everyone who has responded but I could use some more input. Why do men lie and say they have slept with a woman when they havent???

because the girl is probably hot and thery know they couldn`t get her anyway so they just tell their friends they slept with her in hopes they will envy him. he`s a moran

Well some men do it becuase they think that the more wemon that they slept with means the more of a man they are. Which that is wrong. And some men do it so the women thinks that they will be good in bed. Which most of the time there not. And some men just like to think the fact that because they are a player all wemon will want them. I think that a real man can wait untill he finds someone special to share that with and not lie about it. I hope this answers your question

Well, not all men lie about this or other topics. That said, I suspect the reason is to boost their ego and create some disinformation to make themselves appear to be more attractive to their potential mates. Under the heading of after all if I have slept with a woman (or women) then obviously I was attractive to them, therefore I should be attractive to.......

Who are you asking...the girl he supposedly slept with or the boy? Is the girl a good friend of yours? If so she may be lying to protect your feelings if you like the guy you're refering to. If the boy said he slept with her but really didn't, he probably wants you to think he is sexually experienced for some reason. Either way...someone is lying.

Some men just brag about sexual conquests to boost their egos. It's just wishful thinking, but very damaging to a young woman's reputation. Grandma was right when she said,"A gentleman doesn't kiss and tell."

Sometimes its not to feel rejected within their circle of friends. In order for them not to look like the weak one. Those type of men have something to prove, or they may be trying to prove their masculinity. Unfortunately there will be some of these men. Find yourself another one who will respect you.

Because they think its cool to sleep with a lot of women. In front of the guys they have to put up a front. But you know that if he has to lie on his dick then he is not a real man. Because all a man has is his balls and his word and if he lies that means that neither are the sh@t.

It's all about the ego.
If the guy's a virgin, it's not "cool" for his friends to know. He also will feel like a woman will think something is wrong with him if he hasn't had sex.
If it's a woman one of his friends is interested in, he gets a "one up" on the guy if he lies about it, like he got to her first.
It's all stupid if you ask me.

umm, Maybe bc they have told one person and it just got out of control, and they had to start lieing. Maybe they wish they could have, but just never did. The guy is insecure.
