Good question. Bear in mind that I'm an atheist.
I really like the book of Job, because it's one of the few books where God breaks cover and essentially says Look, don't argue with me, I'm God, alright?
I like the Samson story because it's about a big stupid tragic lug who never understands that he's a pawn in a game.
I love the Song of Songs because it's so damn sexy.
I have a soft spot for the Gospel of Matthew because it was made into one of the very, very few decent movies about Jesus, Pier Paolo Pasolini's 'Il Vangelo Secondo Matteo'. It's the most left-wing, rabble-rousing Gospel.

I love the covers when they are closed.
I really like the bibles with gold leaf on the page edges. When the bible is closed the gold shines.

Christians say that it's the parts of the New Testament where there are Jesus's teachings.

Bereshit (Genesis). It's people in deeply human struggles, getting it wrong at least as often as they get it right.
Struggling to make sense of those texts is one way to better understand ourselves and each other.

I think Daniel 9 is amazing. An angel told Daniel the exact day the messiah would arrive.
