Is it the economy, If people sometimes don't have they will take. I'm praying its not the economy causing this or maybe its drugs.

Poverty and the politics of exclusion, which create an underclass of people with nothing left to lose. Why NOT take drugs even if the high only lasts for a few hours? Why NOT steal to get what you need? Are those who currently own the stuff truly entitled to it? Unless human beings have a STAKE in the culture, we will not respect its rules. As America prepares for the next Depression - and it's coming - break-ins will become even more common.

Although drugs definitely play a major role in the scenario. Consider Canada's most beautiful city on Left Coast replete with health care and a variety of social safety nets. Where I live there has been a large increase in home break in's. Since we have a larger than usual unemployment base here, one could say that the economy has something to do with it.

Drugs also play a large part in break in's in this area. Many individuals are Meth Heads and will steal anything that isn't nailed down.

Unfortunately I feel that things may get a lot worse before they get better.

The increase in drug use.. parentless children and the entire decay of an understanding of right & wrong.

Many people feel entitled.. if they are not one of the haves, then they feel justified in taking.

I am not quite sure when it will stop.

I wish you well!

Some people want everything in life handed to them instead of getting a job and earning these things.

What people? Where?

Must be Southern manners and gun ownership because it's not happening here.
