My husband is a literalist, born-again, Southern Baptist. I am a spiritual/allegorical, born-again, Gnostic Christian Universalist. We both use the Bible but in different interpretations as you can imagine. About as opposite as you can get within the same religion! We are both Christian but do have some differing views as one might imagine, but this actually brings us closer.

What kind of Christian denominational mixes do you have in your partners/spouses?

How about a Greek Orthodox and a "Holy Ghost Fire" Pentecostal?

Before we married, I was Greek Orthodox and my husband was Calvinist Presbyterian. Whew!

We are now both Roman Catholic.

Wow! Thats a definitely interesting combo lol Glad it works with you :-) My ex husband was a Southern Baptist, he was a bit more laid back than his parents who didnt dance, drink, or attend movies. My current husband is a fallen away Catholic attending church with me; I am a non-denominational born again Christian.

To answer your quesiton though I would think Christian Scientist and Jehovah Witness would be interesting.

My wife and I are both Jehovah's Witnesses. We believe the exact same things, we hold to the exact same moral standards. This is because we are being taught by the same God, who is one person.

"one Lord, one faith, one baptism" -Ephesians 4:5

"Now I exhort you, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that you should all speak in agreement, and that there should not be divisions among you, but that you may be fitly united in the same mind and in the same line of thought." -1 Corinthians 1:10

"And all your sons will be persons taught by Jehovah" -Isaiah 54:13 If two people are taught by the same God, the God of truth, they will believe the same thing. God neither teaches lies, nor does he teach contradictions. The beliefs in the churches and between individuals therein show that they are not united in the "same line of thought" as true Christians should be. In contrast, all Jehovah's Witnesses have the same beliefs. That is because we are all "persons taught by Jehovah". We are the "one faith" spoken of in Ephesians 4:5.
