Hey I was wondering if badminton was a cardio exercise, because I need to do some cardio stuff. Could anyone suggest any other cardio exercises, except running and swimming?

If it gets your heart rate up, its cardio.

Strictly speaking, badminton is a games, a sports. Sports and games aren't great cardio exercises.

Badminton does rev up your heart rate but not as much as what you would get in running, swimming, jogging, walking, biking.......

Well, you can try the following cardio exercises:

1. Walking
2. Step aerobics
3. Rope jumping
4. Stair climbing
5. Jumping on a trampoline
6. Jogging
7. Dancing
8. Kick-boxing
9. Biking/cycling
10. Sprinting

You can do all these exercises at home.

Certainly if you're playing for a while, running around and such, it'll be great cardio.

Anything which gets you breathing hard and the heart rate up is cardio exercise.
