I got an answer saying I was not a vet, thats why I take her to one and they do the same thing everytime I take her in and its not helping her. Does someone other than the last person who replyed, know of a detox program ?

Most of the time rodent ulcers come and go.

You can try crushing a lysine pill and putting that over the cat's dry food (250mg is a cat dose, once a day). It helps the immune system, helps skin heal, and helps get rid of the herpes virus in cats (also helps US when we have cold sores). A generic bottle of 60 pills is $4 at the grocery store in the vitamin section, it'll be called Lysine or L-lysine, it's the same thing. I crush mine with the back of a spoon. Don't use the gel caps, the taste on those is awful and you can't get a cat to eat it. You have to crush the pills because they're too large to try to put down a cat's throat. They won't know it's on the food, there's no taste.

No detox programs that I can find, but a high quality diet with high levels of protein and good quality fats can put the patient at an advantage in keeping the ulcerative process from becoming clinically evident

Never heard of rodent ulcers but my response would be that if you don't like what's happening at the current vet to try a different one.

I would most defiantly find a new vet, especially since they don't want to change a treatment that is not helping..... THE ONLY THING THEY ARE HELPING IS THEIR POCKETS!!!!!!!!
What good is a treatment that doesn't help??
