By smoking, you are shortening your family's life as well as yours. Even if you are outside on the porch or something, smoke will get inside your familys lungs and slowly and sureley they will get the same horrible effects you will have even without smoking. Second hand smoke is just as bad. They also can smell it in your breath, on your clothes, and wherever you smoke. You can't hide it. Just quit. Don't ruiin your family's lives because of a selfish pleasure.

There's no way to cover it up. I smoke (but only if I have a drink) and I can smell anyone who smokes. Nothing worse than checking out of a store and you can smell the check out person's last cigarette break! Ughhhhhh!!

You could try breath sprays, gum, cologne - but then you'd probably smell like you just took a french bath! Ü

Orange flowers right they can smell it on you all the time. you can't cover it, because then it just smells like smoke plus whatever you sprayed over yourself. To a non-smoker smoke is a very distinguisable smell.
Best to smoke outside to wash hands and hair if necessary. Definately clothes cuz it gets into the materials.

When I was in school and was smoking I used to wear a pair of gloves to keep the smell of smoke off my hands... Ordinary little wool winter gloves will do.... Also, if you are smoking outside, make sure the smoke is going downwind and not back towards you. This will help..... A very strong pack of mints and a deodorant (or body spritz) are also handy to keep with you... Just give it a few minutes after using these before you go near family members. Smoke is smelliest just after you have had a cigarette..... I smoked since I was 13 and didn't get caught until I was 16, so I must have been doing somthing right!

It depends on the person my husband smokes and the smoke clings to him no matter what he does. We call him a Cling-on. My daughter use to smoke and all she had to do is stand in the wind for a couple of min. af ter put out the cig.
If you have started smoking I'm sorry you will end up spending $100-$200 or more a month on the stinky habit.
I can'tn stand my husband to kiss me.

No I don't smoke, but I had a husband who did. He quit cold turkey.
You should too. Want to know how many sweat people have died in his family because they smoked?
First, his uncle then his wife a year later, his father has lung cancer, his mother died from worrying about her husband and what was going to happen to him and her once he was gone), his aunt just died 2 weeks ago (she thinks lung cancer ran in the family).
You know better. Why make your family worry about you? When the time comes and it will, it won't be as simple as to lay down and die, its chemo and radiation, just like his dad has been doing for the last 5 yrs!
Please quit. For your sake and your family's. Take it from a nurse who took care of many respirtory patients, its not fun, its down right hard and miserable. Why don't you just walk out in front of a truck? Because you will be miserable.
If you start coughing, see a doctor for a chest xray as this is the first sign of lung cancer.

Well how often you think it is, in reality it's a lot less. Let me tell you something - always smelling of either (a) fags or (b) mints is s dead giveaway. Pourous materials such as the clothes you are wearing and your hair absorb the smell of the cigarettes and remain there until washed.

There are also the physical signs - browning of the teeth, stained fingers, cigarette burns in clothes and coughing.

Then you have to hide the evidence - packet of fags, lighters, ashtrays. cigarette stubs, till receipts.

You are - literally - only fooling yourself.
