yesterday i noticed a very noticeable pain in my tail bone, it just seemed to appear one day and it only seems to get worse. it REALLY hurts when i press it down and sometimes when i sit down. i have mild scoliosis but ive had that for as long as i can remember, but this pain started just the other day. i dont see how that can be related. i didnt fall on my *** or anything so it wasnt an injury. please give me any help that you can, i want to try to avoid seeing another doctor (plus my mom thinks i worry too much about my health and physical conditions so i really have to prove to her that somethings wrong with me cuz usually nothing is). it might be just bad posture but please give me any ways to get rid of this PLEASE!

It's possible you have a pilonidal cyst. This is very common and occurs in the tailbone.

A pilonidal cyst is an abscess or boil. It needs to be drained, or lanced, to improve. Like other boils, it does not improve with antibiotics. If any of the following symptoms occur, consult a doctor:

Pain at the bottom of the spine
Swelling at the bottom of the spine
Redness at the bottom of the spine
Pus draining from the cyst
Fever with any of the above symptoms

If none of this applies I recommend you see a chiropractor about getting your spine in correct alignment.

I would suggest seeing your doctor because it could be an alignment problem, or possibly a cyst. Until you see the doctor use ice, ibuprofen, and possibly buy a little donut to sit on.
