Above average for its price, good on gas for a small SUV. Not the most luxurious, but its a Jeep. All around very good for its price tag. Only complaint I have heard is the lack of power from the engine (older liberty's) 2007 base has 210 hp.

I personally would not want one, but its going to be or is a dream car of yours, not me.

Mileage really depend on the driver, do you punch the gas when the light turns green, to you drive on the slow side of traffic. You can expect somewhere between these numbers City: 17 – 18 Highway: 22 – 23

Actually the Jeep Liberty doesn't use multiple gallons for each mile. I own an '06 Liberty and get around 18 local and 22 highway. Mine is a 4WD so the extra drag from a transfer case and the front differential use a bit of gas. A 2WD liberty should get a bit better but then who wants a Jeep that isn't for off road use?

hi, im on my second liberty. my first was an 04 sport and currently have an 06 limited. they both gave atrocious mileage. whether you stomp on the gas or barely step on it, my experience says a solid 13 mpg in the city. highway is about 17.6. the sport sounded better when accelerating (different muffler?) and power is ok, but not spectacular. both cars were 2wd.

I only want to help you here so don't get offended.
Your Q should read: How many miles per gallon instead of gallons per mile.
