Yes, too many sadly. And to the one who said survivors guilt hit it right on the head. It sucks.

I knew 1 Marine who was killed at Fallujah.
I knew 2 people who died in the attacks on the Twin Towers on 9-11-2001.
What's your point?

Yes I do but then I know more people who were killed on 9-11.

no but I have an uncle who was in vietnam. I also have an uncle who was in the korean war and was captured as a POW.My aunt found his diary after they were married. He would never talk about it because the experience was so horrendous. I thank God for our soldiers who fight so we can be free.

Yes. I spent 15 years in the USMC. I've lost and/or met a few people that died afterwards. Not a good feeling to have. Aperson goes through what shrinks call "Survivors Guilt".

Yes. Lots of Marines. And 61 of the 64 members of my medical platoon who were Navy.

Yes, he was killed in Viet Nam in 1967 but didn't know it. He died in 2005. He was my best friend from 7th grade until he died. If you don't understand, you're too young and wouldn't understand if I explained it.
Yes, I personally was stationed with a U.S. Navy sailor who was killed in Viet Nam...March of 67.
